Both dried and fresh thyme can be used as a spice for many dishes including chicken, fish, beef and vegetable dishes. Also suitable for pasta, soups, sauces and marinades. In larger quantities, the thyme is suitable for fish dishes – it gives the fish a pleasant taste and aroma. Unlike many herbs, it takes time for the thyme to open and release its taste when cooking.

Thyme (lot. Thymus) originally from Southern Europe and the Mediterranean. It is believed that the thyme has spread throughout Europe, because the Romans used it to purify the rooms and to provide additional aroma to cheeses and liqueurs.
