It is used for sauces, wild poultry also other meat especially greasy pork and lamb. It is used for pickled cabbage, it goes very well and gives a delicious taste for beets, red cabbage and legumes. Used in confectionery, in production of gin, juniper vodka, syrup.

Juniper berries (Juniperus communis). Originated from Asia. These berries have a weak resin flavor, the taste may be a little bit bitter, fragrant or piquant. In Russia, the 17th century existed a so-called juniper obligation. In Moscow, large quantities of juniper fruits were made from bringing berries from different regions to Moscow for the production of juniper oil and ethanol.
