Bay leaves – this plant comes from Asia. In ancient times, clairvoyants, singers and poets were inspired by the scent of bay leaves. Bay leaf tree in Greece was a sacred tree – winners were crowned with wreaths from bay leaves. This tradition has survived until now. The aroma of bay leaves is a mixture of wood, eucalyptus, cloves and flower odors, its taste – spicy and bitter, the effect is warming.
